How I create
EVERYTHING IS ABOUT TO CHANGE
My creative process is a bit unconventional, but it’s one that has evolved over more than a decade of tattooing. It all started with something my mentor, Kay, told me early on: ‘Let the art piece become what it wants to become.’ That idea really stuck with me and has shaped how I approach art and design. I don’t follow a rigid, step-by-step process—instead, my work is fluid, driven by intuition and visual exploration.
When I sit down to design, I dive into ‘rabbit holes,’ searching through imagery online, flipping through old books, or drawing inspiration from movies. I need to see things to spark new ideas, and often, those deep dives lead me to unexpected places. It’s part of what keeps the process fresh for me, and it ensures that no two tattoos are ever the same.
There’s often an element of discovery in my process. I’ll layer concepts, images, and ideas until the final design begins to reveal itself. It’s less about forcing the art and more about uncovering it. This method isn’t about planning every detail upfront—it’s about letting the piece evolve naturally into what it’s meant to be. When I finally ‘see’ the design, everything clicks, and from that moment on, it’s all about execution.
I don’t show drawings beforehand or go back and forth over small details. It’s not because I don’t value your input, but because I believe the best work happens when there’s trust in the process. My goal is to create a piece that’s both unique and personal, something that will stand the test of time on your skin. If you’re open to embracing the unexpected and trusting the journey, I’m confident we’ll create something truly special together.”
